Griffin Beirsto
Hailing from a long line of insurance professionals, Griffin is the 3rd generation of the Beairsto name to work in the insurance industry. Or as he calls it, “a family curse”. He began his insurance career shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain & Operations Management in 2016. After a couple of years as a claims adjuster, Griffin transitioned to risk management and policy placement. He has since worked in many areas of specialty from low to high levels of complexity. He’s done it all by managing small policies for Mom & Pop shops to multi-million dollar policies for national brands. He’s passionate about protecting his clients, understanding their unique risks, and making insurance jargon easier to understand.
Though raised in Wisconsin, Griffin’s family is originally from Oregon. As a child, he spent his summers in Oregon and vowed to one day move to the Pacific Northwest for good. After surviving cancer, he fulfilled that oath and moved to Portland in 2018. Though Native Oregonians may not understand his love of brats, cheese, and Miller High Life, he now fully embraces the Northwest lifestyle. He spends his free time taking road trips to the mountains, the coast, or Central Oregon and forever searching for the best local IPA (preferably hazy).
Griffin was an avid rugby player in his youth, he was named All-State twice and All-American once. He spent time as a coach for high school and a couple of seasons as the women’s head coach at UWM. Later in life, he discovered a passion for boxing and mixed martial arts, training for several years before hanging up the gloves to protect what brain cells he had left. But don’t let his history of contact athletics fool you, he’s a gentle giant and a huge geek. A longtime fan of video games, horror movies, anime, comics, and Lord of the Rings. Known for his laid-back demeanor and always trying to make you laugh, you’re in great hands with Griffin by your side.
